Every row is the entitlement the billing code enforces, not a marketing summary of it. If a cell here disagrees with what your dashboard does, that is a bug and we want to hear about it in the Discord.
Every fee
This is the whole list.
No listing fee, no payout fee, no charge for a custom domain, no per-seat surcharge, and nothing taken out of a dispute you win. If a cost is not on this list, it does not exist.
- The platform fee: 2% on Free, 0% on Business
- It never comes out of the buyer’s payment. The buyer pays your Stripe, PayPal or wallet in full, and Shoppex writes 2% of the sale to your account as a fee you settle later, by card, PayPal, crypto or a top-up balance you prepaid.
- Nothing to settle under 5 USD
- Shoppex does not raise an invoice for small change. The balance has to pass 5 USD before it becomes payable at all, so a first slow month costs you nothing and asks you for nothing.
- Or the buyer pays it, if you flip the switch
- One setting adds the 2% to the checkout total and prints it on the buyer’s invoice instead of your account. It ships off, and plenty of shops leave it off.
- Chargeback Shield success fee: none
- Shield used to keep a share of the money it won back. It does not anymore, on either plan, and the database now refuses to create such a charge at all. Winning a dispute costs you nothing.
- Your payment provider still charges what it charges
- Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Square and the coin processors bill you directly on their own rates. Shoppex takes no share of that and never sits between you and it.
No custody
There is no payout button, because there is nothing of yours to pay out.
Card and wallet money settles into the accounts you connected, under your own name. Coins land in wallets whose spending key is encrypted on your side, where our servers cannot read it.
Platforms in this space go dark with merchant balances inside them. Shoppex holds no balance of your sales, so there is nothing here to go dark with, nothing to freeze and nothing to queue for.
If you already pay for a platform
We will pay for your evaluation.
Six months of Business, free, if you pay or paid for a comparable platform. That is 594 EUR per merchant, given away because switching costs are the business model we are betting against. Every condition is below.
- Who qualifies
- Anyone with an active paid subscription on a comparable commerce platform, and anyone who paid for one of the platforms that shut down over the last twelve months.
- What you get
- Six months of Business: 0% transaction fees, unlimited shops, unlimited products, abandoned cart recovery, the headless checkout SDK, 50,000 email sends a month.
- What we need
- Proof that you pay or paid. An invoice, a billing screenshot, your live shop on their domain. One claim per merchant.
- What happens after
- Your call. Stay on Business at 99 EUR a month, or drop to Free and keep selling at 2%. Your shop stays online either way.
- The deadline
- Claim by September 30, 2026. The six months start when we apply the plan, not when you claim, so claiming early costs you nothing.
Questions
What the fee does to a sale.

- How does the 2% actually reach you?
- Through an invoice we send you, not through the buyer. Nothing is skimmed off the payment: it lands whole in your own account, and Shoppex records 2% of the sale against yours. Once that balance passes 5 USD it becomes a Shoppex invoice you pay like any other. Ignore it for weeks and you get reminders from day seven and at least a fortnight of notice before the storefront is suspended, which is the one thing an unpaid balance can eventually do.
- Can I hand the fee to the buyer instead?
- Yes. One setting in billing puts the 2% on the checkout total, itemised on the buyer’s invoice. It is off unless you turn it on.
- Does Shoppex ever hold my money?
- No. There is no Shoppex balance holding your sales and no payout button to press, because card money goes straight into your own provider account and coins go to wallets whose spending key our servers cannot decrypt. The only balance we hold is one you choose to prepay against your own Shoppex fees, and you can leave it empty forever.
- What happens when I cancel Business?
- You go back to Free and keep selling at 2%. Business is bought as an invoice for a number of months rather than a card on file, so not buying the next one is the cancellation. There is no exit fee, and sales you made on Business never accrue a platform fee later.
