The Billgang, Antistock and Sellpass Exit Scam
Billgang, Antistock, Sellpass and Hoodpay went offline behind an 'FBI seizure' that does not survive a DNS check. What happened, and what to do if you sold there.
On August 3, 2026, Billgang, Antistock (formerly Sellpass), Forebit and Hoodpay all went offline at the same time. They belong to the same operator. The nameservers now point at ns1.fbi.seized.gov, so at first glance it looks like an FBI takedown.
It is not. We checked the DNS, and everything points to the operator staging the "seizure" themselves.
What sellers are reporting
The reports in seller communities all describe the same sequence. A popup forced users onto a "v2 platform". During that migration, wallet balances moved to new addresses that users never got keys for. Shortly after, the sites went dark and the "seized" nameservers showed up. Several sellers report six figure losses.
We cannot verify any individual balance claim. The DNS part, though, anyone can check.
The seizure is fake
When US law enforcement really seizes a domain, it changes the nameservers at the registry. The WHOIS shows the seized.gov servers, and the domain serves the well known seizure banner. That is what the Sellix takedown looked like in 2024.
Not here. Ask the .io registry who runs sellpass.io and you get the operator's normal Cloudflare setup, unchanged:
$ dig NS sellpass.io @a0.nic.io +norecurse
;; AUTHORITY SECTION:
sellpass.io. 3600 IN NS coco.ns.cloudflare.com.
sellpass.io. 3600 IN NS scott.ns.cloudflare.com.Ask that Cloudflare zone the same question and you get the "FBI" records:
$ dig NS sellpass.io @coco.ns.cloudflare.com
sellpass.io. 86400 IN NS ns1.fbi.seized.gov.
sellpass.io. 86400 IN NS ns2.fbi.seized.gov.An NS record is just text. Anyone with access to that Cloudflare account can type ns1.fbi.seized.gov into it. The WHOIS is untouched, there is no seizure banner, and neither the FBI nor the DOJ has announced anything. Real seizures this size come with a press release. The "seizure" lives in a zone only the operator controls.
If you sold there, do this today
- Update your links. Anything in your Discord, Telegram or bios still pointing at these platforms.
- Document everything. Screenshots, exports, payment records. If there is ever a legal process, documentation decides who gets anything back.
- Rotate your passwords if you reused them anywhere, and assume your customer data leaked.
- Tell your customers. Pending orders and unredeemed keys are gone. Getting ahead of chargebacks is cheaper than reacting to them.
Money that settled directly on your own Stripe or PayPal account is unaffected. That difference is the whole lesson.
Why this cannot happen on Shoppex
This is the third platform collapse in this space in under three years, after Selly and Sellix. The common thread: the platform holds your balance and pays out on its own schedule. Sooner or later, that goes wrong.
Shoppex never holds your money. You connect your own Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Square or any of 20+ providers, and crypto goes through your own processor accounts or your own wallets. Every sale settles directly on accounts you own. There is no Shoppex balance, no payout button, and no "migration" that could touch your funds.
We are not promising to behave. We simply cannot run off with money we never hold.
Shoppex is also a registered German company, EU hosted, with the storefront, checkout, instant delivery and Discord tooling you are used to. Your themes and your customer data are exportable at any time.
Moving over
Create a Shoppex account and you can be selling again today: connect your payment accounts, import your products, point your domain.
If you want help with the move, join our Discord or email [email protected]. We have walked sellers through this exact migration before, and questions about importing products, connecting gateways or moving your domain get answered directly by the team.
