Your Storefront Now Talks Back
Shoppex Telegram turns your bot into a customer support inbox, broadcast channel, automated journey engine, and AI sales agent — all running on your existing product catalog. Here's what's in the box.
Most "commerce platforms" stop at the checkout. You sell something, the customer pays, an email goes out, you both move on. The next time you talk to that customer, you're paying for an ad.
We don't think that's the right shape anymore. Telegram has over 1 billion monthly active users, 400 million of them already interact with bots every month, and your buyers — especially if you sell digital products — are almost certainly already there. So we built the thing we actually wanted: a way to turn your Shoppex storefront into a real, two-way relationship that lives where your customers live.
Here's what shipped, and what you can do with it today.
You bring the bot. We bring the rest.
Connect your own Telegram bot to Shoppex with a token. That's the entire setup. From the moment your bot is verified, every feature below works against your existing products, customers, orders, and subscriptions — no separate database, no separate audience, no separate analytics.
The bot is yours. The branding is yours. Your customers see you, not us.
A real inbox for your customers
When someone replies to your bot, the message lands in your Shoppex dashboard. Full conversation history per customer, threaded properly, with the customer's order history one click away. You reply from the dashboard, the message goes out as your bot.
This is the part that quietly makes the biggest difference. Most operators we talk to are running customer support out of three different places — email, Discord DMs, and "wait someone messaged me on Telegram, where did that go." We collapse all of the Telegram-side into one inbox tied to the customer record.
Broadcasts that aren't spam
Send messages to your subscribers — but only the ones who actually want to hear about this specific thing. Filter by:
- Notification type (order updates only, marketing only, both)
- Activity level (everyone vs. recently active vs. dormant)
- Custom segments you define yourself
Each broadcast supports HTML/Markdown formatting, scheduling, and click tracking on every link. You'll see exactly which messages converted and which fell flat — without any of the data leaving your shop.
Automated journeys, end-to-end
Multi-step message sequences that fire when something happens. The triggers we ship today:
- Order completed — confirmations, upsells, review requests, anything you want to send N hours after a sale
- Cart abandoned — recover the buyers who almost paid
- Payment reminder — for invoices that are overdue
- Subscription renewal — heads-up before the charge, thank-you after, win-back if they cancel
Each step has its own delay, content, and inline buttons (with callbacks back to your bot). You build the journey once. It runs forever.
An AI agent that sells for you
This is the one we're most excited about.
Your bot can run a Claude-powered sales agent that talks to your customers in natural language, in any language they message you in. It can:
- Answer product questions using your real catalog (descriptions, variants, prices, stock)
- Look up a customer's past orders ("hey what was that license I bought last month?")
- Search your store and recommend products based on what someone's asking for
- Generate a payment link on the spot — the customer taps, pays, and gets their order, all inside the same chat
The agent runs in two modes: customer sales (your buyers) and merchant assistant (you, asking questions about your own shop from your phone). Both are rate-limited per user and per shop, with built-in token budgets, prompt-injection detection, and conversation memory that persists across messages.
It's the same Claude that built half of this product, plugged into your real commerce data through our published MCP server. Which means if you'd rather wire it into your own Claude desktop, ChatGPT, or any other MCP-compatible agent, you can do that too — same tools, same permissions, your data.
What this is, and what it isn't
Some honesty about scope, because the difference matters:
What Shoppex Telegram is right now: the engagement, support, automation, and AI layer for your existing storefront. Buyer relationships that actually last past the first order. A merchant inbox that doesn't disappear into your DMs. Marketing that's targeted, not blasted. A sales agent that works while you sleep.
What it isn't yet: a full Telegram-native checkout. Buyers still complete their purchase on your hosted Shoppex checkout (which works perfectly inside Telegram's in-app browser, by the way — most people don't even notice the handoff). Native Telegram Stars and bot-payment integration are on the roadmap, not in the box today.
We'd rather ship the part that compounds — the relationship layer — and add native payment rails when we can do it without making the merchant experience worse.
How to start
If you already have a Shoppex shop:
- Open the Telegram page in your dashboard
- Paste your bot token (or create a new bot — we walk you through it)
- Pick which features you want on: inbox, broadcasts, journeys, AI agent
- Done
The first message your bot receives lands in your inbox 30 seconds later. Your first journey can be live in 10 minutes. The AI agent is one toggle.
If you don't have a Shoppex shop yet, start here — Telegram is included on every plan, no add-on, no per-message pricing.
We'll cover the individual pieces — broadcast strategy, journey patterns, AI agent prompting, MCP integration — in future posts. If there's something specific you want us to dig into first, drop us a line in Discord or, fittingly, on Telegram.
